Arnel Pineda is the lead singer of the popular American rock band Journey. He has enjoyed a successful musical career in Asia for the last 25 years. Steve Perry (Journey), Bono (U2), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Sting (The Police), John Farmham (Little River Band), Survivor, Heart, The Beatles, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Warrant, Deep Purple, and other bands from the genre, has influenced Arnel Pineda singing style.

When Arnel Pineda was only 15 years old, he became the lead singer of a band in the Philippines called Ijos Band. In late 1980s, he won the Best Vocalist award at the World Band Explosion. Then he joined a pop/rock band Amo. The band become very popular in the Philippines, but spitted in late 1990s.

At the end of 20th century, Warner Bros spotted Arnel Pineda. He recorded a solo album, the self-titled “Arnel Pineda” which he wrote and arranged. In 2006, Arnel Pineda moved back to the Philippines and formed a new band.
